Facebook Pixel Cloaking | Run Conversion Campaigns for Black Hat Offers

cloaking facebook pixel

Facebook is the largest social network in the world with 1.52 billion active monthly users. That's more than one-seventh of the world's population! This means that if you're not advertising on Facebook, you're missing out on a huge opportunity to reach your target audience.

Facebook Ads are one of the most effective ways to promote your offers. One of their best features is the conversion objective campaign which you can use to get Facebook’s algorithm to bid for conversions. In order to use this feature, you must have a thank you page with your conversion event installed. However, this is a problem affiliates face.

Most affiliates are unable to install their Facebook pixel on the Thank You Page of the offer they are promoting because they don’t have permission to download it from the affiliate network. Therefore, they lose out on the benefits of conversion objective campaigns. However, you can ask your manager to give you permission to download the offer page or to install the FB Pixel for you.

Today, I will give you a simple and tried solution so that you can take advantage of conversion objective campaigns. The solution is to cloak your Facebook pixel.

Why Do You Need to Cloak Your Facebook Pixel?

You need to cloak your Facebook pixel so that you can run conversion objective campaigns for your affiliate offer and see the conversions in your campaign’s dashboard. Also, cloaking your Facebook pixel will prevent your account from getting banned.

The cloaking process is very easy and I will explain it below.

How to Cloak Your Facebook Pixel?

Cloaking your Facebook Pixel is actually quite simple if you follow these steps:

1. Create a simple HTML page

2. Replace PIXEL-ID-REPLACE with your Facebook Pixel ID, which is usually a set of numbers.

3. Replace PIXEL-EVENT-REPLACE with the name of the event, such as “Leads”

4. Upload the file with the above code to your server, and name it thank-you.html

Now, whenever the above HTML page is loaded, the conversions will automatically appear on your Facebook campaigns dashboard.
